HISTORY

(F.R.E.D. or FRED) is a small device that serves as a combination of a can opener, a bottle opener, and a spoon.

Usually, it is issued to the Australian Defence Force in the ration packs. 

Has been known to be used to dig gun pits if the CSM does not like you.

It is also referred to as the "Field Ration Eating Device'' 

Made of 100% combed cotton weighing 200 gm.
