Honoring Our First Responders

A First Responder is a specially trained individual who arrives first at the scene of an emergency, such as an accident, natural disaster, or act of terrorism, to provide immediate assistance.

First responders include law enforcement officers, paramedics, EMTs (Emergency Medical Technicians), and firefighters. In some regions, emergency department personnel such as doctors and nurses are also considered first responders.
